As a dental hygienist, your responsibilities include:

• • Educating clients about the connection between oral and systemic health.
  • Removing hard and soft deposits from teeth.
  • Assessing the risk of oral diseases, including dental decay, oral cancer, and periodontal disease.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
  • Taking and interpreting dental radiographs.
  • Applying dental sealants and fluoride for tooth protection.
  • Providing guidance on oral hygiene techniques and appropriate products.
  • Placing interim therapeutic restorations.
  • Administering local anesthetics and nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia for pain management.
  • Offering dietary counseling to promote healthy habits.
