My name is Jeff Cormier, and I have twenty-four years of experience studying and teaching
criminology, psychology, sociology, and victimology. Although I have gained much knowledge
in these fields, I am always eager to learn more. I worked extensively with marginalized
populations for ten years and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the
Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. During this time, I piloted an HIV Prevention
Project and created three unique workshop series for Justice-Impacted communities.
After that, I started teaching at the community college and university level where
I still teach today. Currently, professionally I am developing and accessing harm-reduction
strategies and incarcerated educational programs.
