I direct the Science Learning Institute whose mission is advancing diversity and equity
in STEM by supporting students from underrepresented groups in their STEM academic
and career pathways. There are several programs for STEM students under SLI's umbrella.
Check out our website (link above) for more. Prior to coming to Foothill in spring
2020, most of my work had been in the nonprofit youth and education space, especially
working with low-income, immigrant communities and youth. I got my Bachelor's degree
in history and biology at Williams College, and my Master's degree in Education at
UMass Boston. I am a proud East Coast transplant to the Bay Area!
