I have been teaching for Foothill College since Spring of 2013! I primarily teach
COMM 1A: Public Speaking and have been teaching the class for a little over 10 years.
Since 2018 I have been teaching the class in an online and asynchronous format. I
really enjoy meeting with students and providing them with opportunities to practice
and enhance their public speaking and communication skills. As an instructor, I am
focused on incorporating universal design for learning (UDL) practices to enhance
the equity and inclusion of my classes. If we work together in COMM 1A, you'll have
the opportunity to work with me and with your classmates as you prepare, present,
and reflect on speech assignments. Keep in mind that while I'll provide some basic
prompts, YOU will get to choose your speech topics.
