Knit and crochet for those in need of winter clothing
Help others keep warm during the winter by knitting and crocheting at Foothill this month.
Learn to make scarves, hats, mittens, gloves and more that will go to those who are in need of winter clothing. Those experienced in knitting and crocheting are encouraged to join the group. Each Tuesday this month a group will teach others how to knit and crochet in the library in conference room 3553 at noon.
During the Chase the Chill event handmade winter clothing are placed in public places so those in need may take what they need to get through the winter months. People may donate items but they must be handmade and warm enough to chase the winter chill. All handmade donations must be dropped off on Nov. 29.
The handmade items will be placed on the Foothill campus on a surprise date during the first week of December.
