Foothill Theatre Arts presents:
Antigone
Directed by Bruce McLeod
About the Play
January 7, 2025. A civil war has ended and the Republic has survived, civic law and order have been restored.
Anne Carter’s new translation of Sophocles’ Antigone is modern, playful, bittersweet, and profoundly poetic. In just 70 minutes, Kreon’s adherence to a legal structure over his niece’s loyalty to her dead brother is both relentless and ultimately devastating.
