Writing & Language Center
About Our Services
As of Spring 2022, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) has formally changed its name to the Writing and Language Center (WLC). With the new WLC name, comes a new mascot. Meet our WLC Owl!
We decided that this new name better describes our work on campus and truly embodies the services our tutors and coordinators provide.
We will continue providing the same peer and faculty tutoring in writing, reading, research across all disciplines, as well as conversation practice and writing and student success/soft skill workshops.
WLC Tutoring Support
The Writing and Language Center (WLC), formerly known as the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), offers tutoring in reading, writing, research, study skills, and conversation support across all subjects. Whether you are working on an essay for an English class or a research assignment for your geography class, our tutors are here to help! As of Fall 2022, we have also added Spanish drop-in tutoring and Spanish conversation practice hours.
We acknowledge the value of providing our services in more than one modality to make our tutoring accessible to all students. We will continue providing our tutoring and workshops online via our online office space LRC Zoom room, as well as continue increasing our in-person presence with more opportunities on-campus in building 3600 each quarter.
