Meet Our 2026 CHW Student Ambassador

Georgina, our 2026 CHW Ambassador!

Hello everyone! My name is Georgina Nunez.

I am excited to be your CHW Ambassador for this upcoming year. I am a re-entry student parent of two young children.  I decided to participate in the CHW Program at Foothill College after a five-year work hiatus in hopes to learn the skills to empower individuals to live healthier, especially those from marginalized communities. I am interested in becoming a Medical Interpreter and hope to attain a Master's in Public Health in the future.

I look forward to serving current and prospective students in the program. I wish nothing but the best for you all in your academic and professional endeavors!

2024: Cheryll Cortado
served as our second CHW Ambassador. She worked in the healthcare field for 20 years; 9+ years in public health working closely with underserved populations to ensure access to high-quality care services and supports. Her passion for heath advocacy and helping those disproportionately impacted by health inequities and disparities sparked her interest in community health work.

2023: Justin Greene served as our first ever CHW Ambassador.

He started at Foothill as a dual-enrolled high school student and got drawn into health by his first health class, Contemporary Health Concerns. He dove into health and health equity, learning about the complexities of our healthcare system.

He is currently studying at Willamette University majoring in public health! We thank Justin for his truly amazing service in 2023!!!
