Scholarship Season Open, Apply by Feb. 18
January 21, 2022
To help students meet the upcoming Feb. 18, 2022 deadline for close to 70 open Foothill College scholarships, our Financial Aid Office is hosting a one-hour workshop on Fridays, Jan. 21 and Feb. 4. Students may register to attend either Zoom session to learn about applying for Foothill scholarships and get one-to-one assistance to start and/or complete their Foothill scholarship application.
Scholarship awards range from $250 to $3000, with many that include multiple recipients per scholarship listed. Applying is free, and students do not repay scholarship dollars.
At Foothill, we offer need- and merit-based scholarships for both part-time and full-time students, with a wide range of application criteria for students just starting out or nearing graduation. Criteria may include majoring in an academic program, such as biology or health science; participating in a Foothill program, such as Veterans, Puente, or Honors; or simply meeting a minimum 6 units of current enrollment with a determination to complete an academic goal.
Scholarships are established through the Foothill-De Anza Foundation, through the generosity of groups and individuals within our college and greater community, including memorial scholarships to honor those who were Foothill students or employees. One of our newest scholarship endowments was set up last year in loving memory of Dr. Konnilyn Feig, long-time Foothill College history instructor and former dean of Business and Social Sciences, who was active in the Honors program even in retirement.
If you wish to support our scholarship programs, financial donations are welcome throughout the year, along with a donation of time once the scholarship applications close and scholarship reader recruitment begins.
