Eligibility Requirements

General Requirements

1. Apply for admission to Foothill College.
2. Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov or California Dream Act application. See how to apply for financial aid. Note: If you are having trouble submitting the form, please contact the financial aid office. 
3. Submit the Program Interest Form.
4. Meet with Puente counselor Maritza Jackson Sandoval. Email her to set up an appointment at jacksonsandovalmaritza@fhda.edu

Program Requirements

1. Commit to attending all the required events that Puente hosts throughout the year. Required Puente events are limited to 2-3 days of the quarter
2. Attend the Puente Orientation! Fall 2025 Puente Orientation occurs 9/09 through 9/11 from 9 AM to 2 PM on campus.
3. Attend all Puente Program courses. Required Puente courses vary in schedule and location based on quarter. Exact information will be provided to you when you make an appointment with the Puente counselor or when you attend Puente Orientation
