About the Conversation

Reaching MLK’s vision of a Beloved Community requires our society to understand and engage deeply with the socioeconomic factors and systems of oppression that impact our collective health. Drawing from his vast experience as a pediatrician, public health officer, and philanthropist, Dr. Ross will engage in a conversation with Foothill College and Stanford University students about transforming the systems that perpetuate health inequities, and that keep us from actualizing MLK’s vision of the Beloved Community.

Dr. Ross' talk will be followed by a Q&A session lead by Foothill College and Stanford University students.

Infinite Black Suitcase

May 26-June 11 • In the Lohman Theatre

The story of one day in a small Oregon town and three families who are trying, in the most loving and human ways, to deal with death and dying. Rather than dwelling on the existential aspects of death, the play explores the practical questions surrounding death.
