TTW is a one-year, full-time college program designed for neurodivergent young adults who are ready to take the next step toward independence. Whether your goal is college, a job, or simply becoming more self-sufficient, TTW gives you the structure, support, and experience to move forward with confidence.

You don’t need to be perfect—you just need to be ready to grow.

What Makes TTW Different?

College Life with Support
TTW students are Foothill students. You’ll take classes, join clubs, and build friendships while getting the individualized support you need.
Real-World Skills, Real Experiences
Courses focus on practical tools: from job searching to emotional regulation, from using public transit to digital citizenship. You’ll also gain internship experience on campus.
A Launchpad for Independence
Our goal is simple: help you build the mindset, habits, and skills to take ownership of your life—on your terms.

What is the TTW Program at Foothill College?

TTW is an intensive academic program for neurodivergent individual. Our 1 year, cohort-based program gives students the tools and confidence they need to become independent adults.

TTW students can:

Experience college life at Foothill College
Prepare for a future in college or industry
Develop relevant job skills
Strengthen communication and social skills
Develop a gameplan for adulthood

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for students who:

Can get to and around campus independently
Are ready to engage in class and put in the effort
Want to take healthy risks and challenge themselves

You don’t need top grades or perfect social skills—just a willingness to try, grow, and improve.

What Will We Learn?

TTW Students Learn To:

Navigate public transportation
Build resumes & practice interviews
Use digital tools professionally
Communicate clearly & respectfully
Build self-confidence & set boundaries
Plan for their futures—college, work, or both

Program Overview

Summer: Part-time over Zoom to ease into the program
Fall to Spring: Full-time, in-person at Foothill (12+ units per quarter)
Internships: On-campus placements in Winter & Spring
Community: A cohort-based model means you’ll grow alongside peers on the same path

Next Steps After TTW

TTW gives students the plan, the tools, and the support to set an achievable goal in life. During the year, students develop their own path in coordination with instructors and their support team. From TTW, students often follow one of three paths:

➟ 2 or 4 Year College

TTW is a part of Foothill College, and many of our students can go on to independently take regular classes. If your eventual goal is an AA or beyond, we provide the scaffolding to make sure that first step is a strong one.

➟ Career

Whether the eventual goal is an apprenticeship into a trade, entry into a skilled career path, or an entry level permanent job, TTW provides the skills and the small-group development necessary for success in industry.

➟ Residential Program

Residential programs require a level of independence and self-sufficiency that is sometimes not yet achieved by the time a student has graduated from high school. TTW can work as a focused gap year between high school and a residential program.

We recommend parking in Lot 5 or Lot 6, which is the closest lot to TTW classrooms and the Disability Resource Center.
