Schedule a Tour of the Tools for Transition & Work (TTW) Program
Why We Start With a Tour
The TTW program is designed for a very specific kind of student—someone who’s capable, motivated, and ready to grow, but who needs structured support to make the leap to independence. Because of that, a tour isn’t just a formality. It’s a key part of helping families, educators, and students decide if TTW is the right fit.
On a tour, you’ll get a better understanding of what the program looks like, get a sense of our community, and better understand what success at TTW requires.
We don't do this just for fun (though it is!). In an average year, we give well over 100 tours! It is very important to us that we are a good fit.
Tours Available by Appointment
We offer in-person tours for individuals or groups—students, families, high school staff, or a combination of all three. Our default tour runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:0 p.m. but we are flexible - we even sometimes offer tours on weekends or holidays. A normal tour includes:
-
A classroom visit
-
A full campus tour
-
A presentation about the program
-
Q&A session with program staff and students
-
Optional lunch in the Foothill Dining Hall
Tours are a great way to get a feel for the environment, meet current students, and ask your real, unfiltered questions.
Virtual Meetings Available at Your Convenience
Can’t make it in person? No problem.
We offer Zoom meetings tailored to your needs. Whether you’re a parent with a few questions, a student curious about the schedule, or a counselor looking to refer multiple students, we’re happy to meet with you. We can also host virtual Q&A sessions for high school teams or transition programs.
To book a Zoom appointment, just email kauppben@fhda.edu.
Have Us Come to You!
We occasionally visit schools and events to share more about TTW. If you're organizing a transition fair, parent night, or staff meeting and would like a TTW representative to attend or host a booth, let us know.
Email Ben Kaupp at kauppben@fhda.edu for availability.
