Gainful Employment
Introduction to Gainful Employment Disclosure
Foothill College provides opportunities for students to enroll in its career preparation
programs at a reasonable cost. The courses required to complete a career preparation
program are scheduled so that students can complete a program and earn a certificate
of achievement in a timely manner, whether they attend classes full time or part time.
In order to be eligible for Federal Student Aid, federal guidelines require that
a student must be enrolled in an educational program that leads to an associate degree,
or prepares him or her for gainful employment in a recognized occupation. In accordance
with federal guidelines, Foothill College students must declare a goal with a major,
prepare for transfer to a four-year college or university, or enroll in a career certificate
of achievement program in order to be eligible for Federal Student Aid.
