New Mission Statement
Approved by College
At the Nov. 17, 2023 MIPC meeting, Foothill College approved a new mission statement after a year of dialogue and deliberation.
Approved by the Board of Trustees
At the Dec. 11, 2023 meeting, the revised college mission statement was adopted as part of the consent calendar.
The mission statement now reads:
Embracing inclusivity and building strong communities, Foothill College serves diverse learners and equips its students with critical thinking skills to address complex societal challenges, to thrive in the global workforce, and to engage in a life of inquiry.
The revised mission statement sets the stage for the vision statement review and educational master plan update efforts in 2024.
