EV Charging Stations
Ten charging stations for electric vehicles are available to use in Parking Lot 6. VIEW MAP
Anyone can open a free ChargePoint account and use the company's mobile app to operate one of the stations. You will pay about 39 cents per kilowatt hour, for now, through your ChargePoint account. The fee, which covers the cost of electricity and maintaining the stations, could be adjusted in the future based on usage and costs.
Please follow standard EV etiquette and use the stations for charging – not for parking. The app will provide an alert when your car is fully charged.
Charging Etiquette
Please move your car to a regular parking spot when charging is completed — so that someone else can recharge theirs!
About Our EV Chargers
The ChargePoint stations were installed at the beginning of winter quarter in 2020. Installation of the new chargers came after extensive coordination by the college, the Foothill-De Anza district, campus constituencies and the vendor.
