The Protolab is where we explore, test, and learn about emerging technologies.

Scope of the Protolab
The Protolab is used as a space for the following activities:
- Explore emerging technologies prior to evolving into am ETI Technology Lab
- Test emerging technology hardware and software
- Share information across campus bout emerging technology findings
- Provide training for all Foothill College faculty, staff, and students for any of the identified emerging technologies
- Support emerging technology related curriculums and projects
- Provide emerging technology exhibits and demos in both the Los Altos Hills and Sunnyvale Foothill College campuses
- Provide emerging technologies exhibits and demos for Foothill College events, such as Day On The Hill and STEMentors Possible Self
- Provide emerging technologies exhibits and demos for Foothill College Science Learning Institute (SLI) sponsored events, including events for youths from various local organizations.
The Protolab, along with seven emerging technology labs, make up the Emerging Technologies Institute (ETI).
